Our story begins in 1985 in Portland, Oregon. Tracy began as a dishwasher, at age 15, in a little restaurant in Portland and moved his way up to Line Cook. Tracy then took on the Bering Sea and worked as a Crab Boat for two years in Alaska.
Afterwards, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he started working for Red Lion Hotels. He quickly became the most requested Chef for the City Side Cafe in the Hotel lobby. He moved on and became one of the Chef's for Maxi's Fine Dining in the Hotel. He was also trained for banquets and became a Banquet Captain. He was then asked to be one of the restaurant Managers for the City Side Cafe. It was while he was working in Salt Lake City that he met his wife, Naomi.
After working together for two years, they decided to start something of their own and began catering under the name Catered With Class. They catered for a few years and then decided to open a little restaurant in Malta, Idaho. Their little family grew and so did the Steakhouse, so this restaurant was sold so they could make the move to Burley.
In the spring of 2006, they made the move and started the new Morey's Steakhouse and Event Center. Tracy and Naomi have had this dream of owning a restaurant that they could share with Friends, Family, and the community that they live in.
It has been a lot of hard work, ups and downs, you know that kind of stuff that Friends and Families are made of. So get comfortable, enjoy the conversation with your Friends and Family and get ready for a great meal. At Morey's Steakhouse, we have grown but we have not forgotten about our Friends and Family.

Morey's offers steaks, prime rib, seafood and pasta dishes, hamburgers, sushi for dinner on Mondays, a full bar, appetizers and desserts, along with several gluten-free entree options.
“It really has become a destination rather than just a place to eat and I love to see people when they are coming to have a party. It makes this fun. I’m a lucky guy to be able to wake and go do what I love every day,” said Morey, who built a home next to the business.
Our indoor-outdoor, 160-seat patio is heated by ceiling radiant heat for winter events and has ability to swing open for warm weather celebrations.
Enjoy great views of the beautiful Snake River and mountain ranges! More boat dock space was added to allow up to 15 boats to park on the river. In the summer, the restaurant offers boat ride and meal packages on certain days.

Best Restaurant in Burley. If you want a quiet night out with the Mrs. And some wicked good food this is the place to go. We have been coming here for years. The staff is friendly and professional and the food is great. Atmosphere is tough to beat. Good job Tracy and crew!
Server [Carla] was even more fantastic than the food. I did not order the prime rib but was given a bite from my friend- really good. The bread & butter served before the appetizers & entree is also amazing. Just passing through town but I have a feeling I'll find my way back here.
This place is the best in Burley! They are such great people that provide excellent service! We have had our Christmas parties there for the past 2 years and have not been disappointed yet . Thank you so much Tracy and family! You guys are awesome!
I've had steak at Ruth's Chris, Flemings, Butter, Joe's Steak and Seafood, Taste of Texas.... this steak is up there with the greats at a fraction of the cost! The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the steak will put a big Texas smile on your face!
